He hopes his saucy, self-deprecating ways and cooking style are to your tastes.

Mike Green is a food-obsessed journalist.
He grew up in Kenora, ON, on beautiful Lake of the Woods, but now resides in Winnipeg, MB, where he works as a freelance journalist with a regular radio segment on CBC Radio Manitoba’s Weekend Morning Show. At this post he does tape talks discussing culinary trends, and food to table stories featuring Manitoba farmers, producers, chefs and restaurateurs.
Mike’s journalistic work has appeared in Vancouver Magazine, CBC Manitoba, the CBC national arts site, CBC Music and The Thunderbird.ca. He has also worked as a researcher and production assistant on several documentary films, including Frantic Films’ Fuelled By Passion: The Return of the Jets and a forthcoming film by Montreal’s Rotating Planet Productions.
Mike spent seven inspiring years in Vancouver, where he became a food snob and lover of all things locally grown and respectfully prepared. It was in Vancouver that Mike completed his Master in Journalism at UBC’s Graduate School of Journalism. For his Masters thesis he filmed a documentary on wild mushroom foraging in BC with fellow student and friend Dan Hallen. During this time Mike worked at Vancouver Magazine, writing food-centric print articles and doing some on camera work for their website.
Mike did his Bachelor of Arts at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, where he completed an Honours History Degree with work in creative writing, english and political science. Between these two degrees Mike spent a solid two years travelling and eating his way around the world, which only fuelled his love of food and wine even further.
